Local Policing Update |

Good Afternoon,
Our monthly updates changed last month, here's what we as a beat team have been up to, to tackle issues you raised us-
BURGLARY- We have reviewed our priorities and they remain the same. Over the past month, we have spoken with victims of crime to offer reassurance and gather information, completed rural patrols to increase visibility in areas affected by recent incidents, and continued to support ongoing investigations alongside specialist teams. This work has helped us build a clearer picture of community concerns while ensuring that active enquiries progress effectively. ROAD SAFETY- We have reviewed our quarterly priorities and they remain the same. We continue to carry out high‑visibility patrols in the affected areas, working closely with partner agencies to target the locations of greatest concern. Officers have also attended a number of road traffic collisions this month, investigating the circumstances and dealing with any offences identified.
RURAL CRIME- We continue to work closely with the Rural Policing Team, carrying out proactive day‑and‑night patrols, dealing robustly with offenders, visiting victims, and providing target‑hardening advice. We respond immediately to reports of hare coursing and make every effort to recover and return stolen equipment. Officers have been attending rural crime incidents, speaking with victims, and progressing enquiries. The Rural Policing Team have achieved strong results, recently recovering stolen machinery and reaching a milestone of £3 million worth of equipment recovered since their inception. We thank the community for their vigilance and reporting, and encourage everyone to ensure their equipment is security‑marked and registered so it can be quickly returned if stolen. The beat team have also been stopping trailers on the road network to ensure they are legitimate, and we appreciate the cooperation received. | ||
